Security Policy: How do you keep my information safe?
Bongo Billy's cares about your security. The BongoBillys.com website
has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration
of the information under our control. Every purchase you make at BongoBillys.com
is safe. Our website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the
industry standard for secure commerce transactions to transmit your
credit card information over the Internet.
Our website protects your
personal information in the following ways:
- Secure Order Form: During the
check out process, when you are asked for your credit card information
to pay for your order, your credit card information is communicated
over the internet in an encrypted method of communication using Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL). This means your credit card number is scrambled
during the transaction process, so that the information cannot be
read as it travels over the Internet. You will know that the page
is encrypted by the following:
Our
secure pages carry the VeriSign Seal (similar
to the image at the right), certifying that our website provider
participates in the VeriSign Secured Seal program. VeriSign is
a third-party company that has become a trusted "Internet
Standard"
in authenticating e-commerce hosting providers.
- Most web-browsers will also notify you that a page is secure
in different ways. Most browsers will notify you as you enter
and leave a secure page. Also when on a secure page, most browsers
will display a "padlock" icon, (similar to this one

which lets you know that the information on the current page
is secure.
- Secure Data Storage: Any sensitive
information such as your Bongo Billy's account password and order
credit card numbers are stored on our secure servers in an encrypted
format to further protect your information. Your credit card info
is NOT stored with your account information on our servers. However,
since we wait to charge your credit card until your order is actually
processed, the credit card info you use for an individual order is
encrypted and temporarily stored in our Orders database on our secure
server. We frequently purge (delete) the credit card numbers on processed
orders to further protect your information.

Privacy Policy
Bongo Billy's cares about your privacy. Any information you submit to us
on BongoBillys.com will never be sold, shared or provided to any other party
without your express permission.
For details about the type of personal information our website gathers and
how it is used, see the items below :
- Cookies
Your browser must accept "cookies" in order for the online shopping
features of our website to work. A "cookie" does NOT tell
us who you are, your email address, or any other personal information.
An Internet"cookie" is a small, harmless "text-only" file
stored on your computer and viewed by a website to verify a return visitor's
identity, or to understand how visitors navigate a website. The use of
cookies is standard on the Internet and many major websites use them.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies; however, you can usually
change your browser to prevent or notify you whenever you are sent a
cookie. This gives you the chance to decide whether or not to accept
the cookie.
Cookies are used by our website to "remember" a
visitor as they browse from web page to web page,
allowing the web site to keep track of which "shopping cart" belongs to
which visitor.
These are first-party cookies that do NOT
use any of your personally identifiable information. If
you have chosen to disable all cookies in your web browser, you will not
be able to add items to your shopping cart, log-in to or modify your account,
view your orders on-line, or take advantage of online promotional discounts.
- IP Addresses
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and
to administer our Website. Your IP address is used by the server to help
tell individual users of the website apart and to gather broad demographic
information in the interest of improving our site and service. It does
not give us your email address or any other personal information.
- Order
Form & Customer Registration Form
To place an order on BongoBillys.com requires users
to "Register" with
our store. Registration requires users to give us
contact information, (like their name, e-mail address and mailing address,)
so that we can place their order and contact them if necessary to fulfill
their order. This information is not sold or provided to any other
party.
So that users do not have to re-enter this information every time they
visit, a user's basic contact info and website preferences are stored
on our secure servers. As mentioned in our Security
Policy, this information is protected
both during transmission and storage. Sensitive credit card information
is kept separate from other personal information, is encrypted, and
is never stored for long periods.
A customer's contact information is
only used to contact the user when necessary. If a customer chooses,
they may also Opt In to the Bongo Billy's newsletter of online specials,
discounts and announcements at any time. Users may also opt-out at
any time; see the Opt-In/Opt-Out section below.
- Business Partners
This site contains links to other sites. Bongo Billy's Coffees is not
responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Websites.
- Online Surveys and Contests
From time to time, we may conduct online surveys to help us better
understand and serve the needs of our customers. We may use contact
data from our surveys to send the user information about our company.
The customer's contact information is also used to contact the
visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future e-mails.

- Security
Bongo Billy's cares about your security. For details on how BongoBillys.com

- Opt In / Opt Out
When a visitor Registers for an account on the web site, the
user can specify whether or not they want to receive the Bongo Billy's
Newsletter of specials, discounts an announcements. If
you are getting promotional email from us and would like to be taken
off our list:
simply log
in to your BongoBillys.com account, un-check the Newsletter
link in your account preferences, and save your changes. If you want
to be taken off our direct mail list, please call Customer Service
at
800.738.0622 . Please be reassured that we never sell, share, or
otherwise give out any mail or email addresses to other vendors.

How do I place an order?
- To
view product information: browse
our products by
clicking on the various category & sub-categories
to see the different products. When you find a product that interests you,
click the More Details button (
)
next to a product.
- Choose a product option: On the product details
screen. Select product options desired (if any) by selecting the
option from the drop down box, or entering your option in the box provided.
- To select a product for purchase: Press the Add to Cart button (
).
This will take you to your online "shopping cart" and will
display the items you have currently placed in your cart.
- To change the quantity of a product: On your Shopping
Cart page, enter the quantity desired in the quantity box next to the product,
then click the Recalculate button (
)
to display the new price. NOTE: Unless
stated otherwise, coffee is sold in units of ONE POUND. So a quantity of
2 for a coffee purchase, means you are ordering 2 pounds.
- To check out and place your order: If you are not already
on your Shopping Cart page, click on the View Cart menu item (on the left-side
of all pages) or the View Cart tab (at the top of all pages). Then click
the Check Out button (
).
- Register or Log In to your Customer Account: When you
check out, you will be asked to Register or Log In to your Customer Account.
See the How do I Register for
a Customer Account? help topic if you have
questions on this area.
- Verify / Enter Address Info: After registering, you
will be asked to verify your Customer/Billing Address. At this step, you
will also be asked if order is to use a different Shipping Address, the
Payment Type you want to use, if you have a Discount or Gift Certificate
Code, and you will have an opportunity to enter comments
or special instructions to Bongo Billys. Click the Continue Button.
- Shipping Info: If you specified a different
shipping address in the previous step, you will first be asked for the shipping
address. The shipping options and costs for your order will then be displayed.
Click the Continue Button.
- Order Summary: a complete display of your order, shipping destination,
price and total are then displayed for your review. Click the Continue
Button.
- Payment/Place Order: You will be taken to a secure page for entering
your credit card information for payment of your order. Click the Continue
Button to place your order.
- Confirmation: A confirmation screen will appear to show
that your order has been submitted. You can print a full receipt from this
page. You will also receive an email confirmation to the email address
you used when registering for your account. Further emails will be sent
when your order is processed and shipped.

How do I ship my order to a DIFFERENT address?
- Select the 'Check to use seperate shipping address' check box: The
Address Step of the Check Out process (the first step of check out after
logging in or registering) asks for your Billing Address. Right after that
is the 'Check to use seperate shipping address' check
box. Make
sure you check this box if you want to SHIP to a different address than
you're billing address. See
screen shot
of
this step in the check out process.
- Continue to Shipping Address screen: After
checking the seperate shipping address check box in the step above,
click the continue button. Instead of going directly to the Shipping
Option screen, you will now be taken to a Shipping Address screen.
- Select a previously saved shipping address or enter a new one: You
can enter name and shipping address of the order Recipient on this screen. Any
shipping name and addresses you have entered in previous orders are saved
to your own list of recipients. To automatically enter
shipping information for someone on your recipient list, click the 'Ship
to a recipient on my list' drop down box. Then click on
the name of the recipient from the list and the recipient's previous shipping
information will be automatically filled in. You can change the information
at this point if you wish. See screen

How do I redeem a Gift Certificate, Coupon or Discount Code?
If you have received a Gift Certificate or Coupon,
note the Discount Code. Add the products you want to purchase
to your Shopping Cart. Click the Check Out button. After registering
or logging in, you will be taken to the Address step of the check out
process. Near the bottom of the form you will see a box labeled: Discount
or Gift Certificate Code. Enter
the code from your certificate, coupon or mailing, and your discount will
be applied and displayed later in the check out process on the order Summary
page.

What are Bongo Bonus Points and how do I use them?
Bongo Bonus Points is Bongo Billy's gift to our customers. They
can be used to discount purchases on BongoBillys.com. The more you buy
the more you save.
There are Two Ways to Earn Points:
- Earn points on your purchases: All retail items
sold at BongoBillys.com have a Bongo Bonus Points value assigned
to them. When you make a purchase these Bongo Bonus Points are totaled,
stored in your customer account, and can be used towards future retail
purchases at BongoBillys.com.
- Earn points by referring friends: On all product
detial pages on BongoBilly's.com you will see a "Tell a Friend" button
(
).
When you use this button to send your friend an email about a product
at BongoBillys.com, you can earn Bongo Bonus Points. If
your friend is a new customer and makes a purchase, you will
receive 150 Bongo Bonus points, a value of $1.50. You
only earn points if your friend is not already a BongoBillys.com customer,
if they use the link we send them to visit our web site, and if they
place an order on that visit. Also you will only earn your referall
reward on the new customer's
first order.
Viewing Earned and Used Bongo Bonus Points: You can check
your current balance of earned Bongo Bonus Points, their discount value
when used for BongoBillys.com purchases, and the number of points you have
already used by clicking the View Your Bongo Bonus
Points link on your
Account Home page.
Redeeming your Earned
Bongo Bonus Points: You
can redeem any number of the Bongo Bonus Points currently in your account
during check out. If you have points in your account, near the bottom of
the Address step in the check out process, your current total bonus points
will be displayed, and a box is provided for you to enter the points you
want to apply towards your order, if any. If you redeem points, the Summary
step in the check out process will display the points you are redeeming,
and the discount applied to your order by using those points. Bongo Bonus
Points are valid only for purchases at BongoBillys.com and can not be redeemed
for cash.
Discount Value of Bongo Bonus Points: the points you redeem will discount
your order according to the following exchange rate:
1 point = 1 cent; 100
points = $1; 1,000 points = $10; etc.

How do I register for an Account?
Go to the New
Customer Registration form. Items marked with an * are required
to create your account. You will be asked for Name & Email Address.
You will be asked to create a password for your Bongo Billys account.
You must also enter a billing address. If desired, you can opt in to
the Bongo Billys Specials newsletter. See the Privacy
Policy and Security
Policy help topics for information on how Bongo Billys uses and protects
your personal information.

How do I change my account Email Address, Password and other account settings?
- Go to
the Customer
Preferences page. If you are logged in, this page
will show your Account Menu. Otherwise, you will
first have to log in by entering your email address, Bongo Billys
account password, and then click the Log In button.
- Click the 'Modify Personal Information' link on the Account
Menu.

How do I check my Order Status?
- Go to
the Customer
Preferences page. If you are logged in, this page
will show your Account Menu. Otherwise, you will
first have to log in by entering your email address, Bongo Billys
account password, and then click the Log In button.
- Click the 'View Previous Orders' link on the Account
Menu.
- Click the Order Details link next an order: for
all the information on an order, including its current status.

Is Wholesale pricing available?
Yes, Wholesale pricing, payment options and additional wholesale products
and units are available. To view wholesale products, pricing and payment
options, your Bongo Billys customer account must be converted to a wholesale
account.
- Register for a Customer Account: If you do not already
have a customer account, go to the New
Customer Registration form and create your account.
- Fill out the Wholesale Sign-Up Form: Go to the Wholesale
Sign Up form and enter the requested information. NOTE: be sure to
use the email address you used to create your Bongo Billys customer
account. Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified
via email if you are accepted and provided with additional information.
- Log In before you shop: Once your Wholesale application
has been accepted by Bongo Billys, your customer account will be converted
to a Wholesale account. Simply
log in to your account. When logged in as a wholesale customer,
the website will now show you any wholesale pricing, additional wholesale
product categories, etc.
